This work was commissioned under the theme of summer when I held a two-person exhibition. It depicts happy memories of a summer vacation in the countryside.
The main character "Roboto" is the protagonist of a picture book I made before, and is a robot-like being. His character is too curious, and he repeatedly takes on reckless challenges. He is selfish and makes others around him crazy, but he is lonely and hates to be left at home. In fact, the character of "Roboto" is modeled after my former cat, “ニケ".
To me, he is the most lovable character of all!
