Bio
I’m born in Stockholm, Sweden, and live and work in Stockholm and in Antibes, France.
I have studied at several design schools and I have a Master in both Graphic Design and Industrial Design among many other subjects. I have worked much with digital channels and media. I have also also studied several other art subjects, like painting, printing, drawing, and learned how to work with wood, glass, textile and silver.
I create images out from Creative Commons images found on Internet together with my own photographs or drawing. My images becomes a transition and merging of places, times and meaning. History, present and future coexists in different overlapping layers. The collective and public merge with the subjective and private.
I like the idea of using images that are totally free to anybody and belongs to our collective semiotics, and merge them with my own personal images that has a meaning just to myself. In that interplay between public and subjective I create a new story, mening and aesthetics. I also like working digitally so the images can be reproduced in any size, on any material (even if I mostly produce them on Fine Art or Photographic paper), even made by robots to create murals, carpets, plastic, textile, 3D, animations, interactions and so on.
I’m searching for meaning, interactions and aesthetic in the images that I meet, booth in my personal life and on internet. All my images are small stories, with an intrinsic meaning that you have to find and create by yourself. They are not enigmas, but points of departure for contemplation and imagination. I’m fascinated by the important transitions in life - birth, death, love, ageing, enlightenment, despair….
The images creates themselves in a way, out from the memories and associations that pass through my mind while I’m searching and working with the images. The meaning and aestethics of the image develops and changes during the working process, I never know where it will end."
