Janie Molard was born in Strasbourg, on the border between France and Germany, and grew up in Tangier, an ancient international city in North Africa. She now lives and works in Switzerland, on the shores of the "Lac des Quatre Cantons" (Lake Lucerne). All these cultures, though separated by borders, have merged within her through a deep contact with nature, further accentuated by the readings of John Buchan, Harold Bindloss, Zane Grey and James Oliver Cur-wood. Inspired by these novels, Janie's paintings cross the boundary between traditional and digital painting.
