Gustavo Sámano Gustavo Sámano is a self taught artist who started painting about thirty years ago. He has been inspired by the beauty of women, their sensuality and their erotic and for this reason, the femenine body is the central subject of his artworks. However there is always a place for other topics. During his childhood he liked to browse his father’s art books and it was just during his childhood that his passion for paintings born. Later on, he started to draw more and more, being interested in art. When he visited Europe, especially Italy - the country that he love the most and feels like his own – his passion grew up. His artworks revolve around colour, nuances, loose and free brushstrokes, but at the same time measured. Everything with the aim of expressing something and finding complicity with the viewer. What he wants is that his artwork gets closer and at the same time moves away from realism.
