Bio
Leah Anna is a self-taught artist based in Oregon, United States. She paints dreamy portraits of women and vibrant and dark abstract to express her emotions. Bereft of any professional art training, she instinctively and extemporaneously creates art by heart. She hopes to acquire and refine her techniques and styles someday. Her work is driven by imagination and mental health challenges. She has been diagnosed with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), generalized anxiety disorder, and chronic depression. Art provides her with a sense of relief, peace, and belonging. Most of her artwork is done in oil and acrylic paint. She’s exploring digital art.
By profession, she is an Early Intervention Speech-Language Pathologist completing her Clinical Fellowship year. She provides speech-language therapy services to diverse families and children with disabilities and developmental delays from a low-socioeconomic background. Her profession has nothing to do with art, but art is also where her heart is.
Yayoi Kusama, Gerhard Richter, Paul Klee, Van Gogh, and Gustav Klimt are some of her favorite artists.
