Bio
Luz Amanda Lanzini is an artist born in Medellin, Colombia, of Italian nationality. In Italy, she obtained the diploma at the artistic high school Giuseppe Misticoni in Pescara and got two degree – in Conservation of Cultural Heritage and History of Art – at the University of Chieti-Pescara.
“Since I was child, I was interested in drawing and painting, starting to realize family portraits and landscapes by using crayons, sanguine, temperas and oil colours. Later on, I began experimenting with different materials, such as broken mirrors and painted leaves on wood.
In paintings of landscapes, depicted in acrylics and oil, I tried to communicate in a very personal way my vision of the locations visited during my journey from all over the world. In addition to representing panoramas from foreign countries, like France, Japan, Spain, Scotland, I have not forgotten to capture Italian marvellous towns, such as Venice and Rome.
I love experimenting with subjects and styles, by painting different characters showing the human side of every relationship and also doubts and anxiety that afflict us. In some artworks, I introduced fantastic elements, thanks to these reality merged with fantasy.
My artistic language is constantly evolving since I continue to try different techniques, discover-ing new ways to express my artistic credo”.
