Margaret Alice Høiesen I am 65 years, a happy girl, born in Canada and have lived most of my life in Norway since I was 6 years old….. except from around 2 years in Singapore 2011-2013. That was the first time I ever painted , learning in an art-studio by Chinese teachers, not knowing if I could or not. Now I think I can J I was married and got three beautiful, healthy girls, and I married again J and now have some great bonus-kids and together my husband and I have 11 grandchildren. Blessed. I have worked as a nurse, the last years in ConocoPhillips in Norway, and ended my engagement there to start painting fulltime for about 3 years ago. In this time I have opened my on Atelier/Gallery (Atelier M*Alice) in the town of Stavanger, Norway and this is something I never saw coming, but I love it. I show my own paintings and other artists rent to show their art. Just started in June last year. My art-education is by courses, live and online, and by painting and failing and doing it all over again until it´s right. Mostly painting with acrylic, but have also made some oil paintings, pouring acrylic, alcohol-ink-painting and using other mediums for structure and I love to try out things. I love the blue colors in different values. It gives me harmony, silent thoughts and reminds me of sea, heaven, skies. Colors are fascinating. I will continue painting as long as it gives me happiness and silence in my soul and it gives others joy and happiness.
