Bio
Born in Jaén (Spain), an olive-growing land, of trust worthy and humble people, who prefer the wisdom and beauty of everyday life. Her roots taught her to be aware of the environment with the eyes of an artist. Her mother also a creative artist, made her reconsider her pictorial skills and at the age of 43, she began her professional career as a painter under the guidance of Hor-tensia Núñez Ladeveze, developing in abstract and portrait painting. Since the beginning, she uses different materials and techniques; usually she works developing her ideas in series. The series related to literature stands out some of the works are: “QUIJOTE 07”, “Tribute to Juan Ramón Jiménez”, portraits of Poets (Juan Ramón Jiménez, García Lorca, Luís Rosales, Miguel Hernández , Machado, Jaime Gil de Biedma) and other Artists (Monet, Paul Klee, Chagall, Georges Braque, Kandinsky etc). Other series in which she has worked are “Ángeles”, “MAQ: flowers”, “Descuadras (sculptural painting)”, “Watercolors with a proper name”, “Feminine”, “Pulchrum” and she is currently painting “A Gaudí 2022”. She has exhibited her works on 39 oc-casions (individually and collectively) and has participated in various competitions. Currently her paintings are distributed in museums, entities and private collections in 15 Spanish cities and other ones such as Sydney (Australia), Beirut (Lebanon), Brussels (Belgium), Moscow (Russia), Kinshasa (Congo) and Jerusalem (Israel).
