Nataša Gregorič Nabhas
Painter
Bio
Nataša Gregorič, Slovenian painter and illustrator, graduated in 2007 at the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice, obtaining the title of Master of fine arts. Today she still lives and works in her country, but she has already held collective and personal exhibitions, both of painting and decoration, also in Italy. In the field of painting, she developed a very complex and particular technique: the series of works named ‘Under the Impression of Impressionism/NABHAS, in fact, is composed by paintings made with alcohol ink on wood or Yupo paper, a synthetic and completely recyclable kind of paper. The choice of this medium involves a particular reaction of the ink, and for the artist id difficult to control it; for this reason the interaction between the natural reaction of the ink with the support and the central theme that connects all the work of this series is, as the title itself says, Impressionism, which was very influent on the artist, who wants to express herself and communicate through these stains of colourful ink.
