Yasuko Kuromiya
Painter
Bio
Born in Tsu, Mie (Japan). Since when Yasuko was young, she has been always studying and learning how to draw. She got inspired strongly by the art teacher at her junior high school when she was 13 years old -which led her to the world of the paintings. She was drawing a variety of paintings such as watercolor, pastel, oil, etc. while she was working and taking care of her 2 children. She got an inspiration of starting "suibokuga", Japanese ink painting or zen painting, during her trip to Italy in summer of 2015. Now she studies under Shukou Tsuchiya, a famous ink painter, and belongs to his school Bokusenkai. Express the sophisticated Japanese culture and the beauty of contemporary art by using sumi, Japanese ink. Feel the beauty of the space and the interesting light & shade of sumi. When I'm into the zen painting, the inspiration falls down to me. By watching my artworks, feel the freedom and release your heart. Materials: Sumi, Washi (Japanese paper), pigments, brush/many kinds of paper as brush
