Emmanuelle Favereau lives in France, in Bayonne (Basque Country). During her youth, she studied History of Art and Archeology. She has been, alternately, lecturer, organizer of artistic and cultural events, exhibitions curator, then agent for musicians and visual artists. Her career took a new turn ten years ago when she decided to convert to holistic thera-pies. If she has always been driven by the visceral need to paint, it’s only late in her life that she has really taken the plunge to become a professional painter.

“I seek to represent not things as they are in matter, but the feeling, the emotion that springs from an object or an event. My paintings springs from the guts and the heart. The colors and their symbolism, as well as the movement, are the vector of this expression. The shape of the canvas, sometimes round, as well as the more or less important fluidity of the pictorial material, also make sense The emotions expressed on the canvas will captivate those of the spectator and question him about his own feelings, sometimes unconscious.”
