From the Metamorphoses, the figure of Midas, the mythical king cursed with the ability to turn everything he touches into gold, becomes the starting point for a broader reflection on the power of self-affirmation. Inspired by the myth of King Midas, the concept of the art exhibition "Touch of Mida" goes beyond his golden curse and redefines its meaning: the golden touch becomes a gift of self-empowerment. Too often, those who dedicate themselves to art go through moments of doubt, wondering if what they create truly has meaning. It is a legitimate question, but the answer is clear: art is essential. 

From a psychological perspective, creativity is a fundamental human need. It is expression of who we are, a bridge between our inner world and external reality. But it is not just an individual process; it also plays a crucial role in the social fabric. Studies in social psychology demonstrate that artworks shape culture, stimulate critical thinking, and influence collective behavior. When an artist creates, they offer society new perspectives, inspire emotions, and foster dialogue. Think of how art has supported social movements throughout history: from Renaissance paintings, which redefined the vision of humanity, to murals telling stories of struggle and hope. 

And then, there is the emotional aspect. Neuroaesthetics, a discipline that studies how the brain responds to art, has shown that observing a work of art can activate the same brain areas involved in pleasure and social connection. In other words, art generates deep emotions, creates bonds between people, and provides comfort in difficult times. 

But the central point is this: the value of your art does not depend on the number of people who see it or its commercial success. Its value lies in the impact it has, even on a single person. A painting, a performance, a sculpture—each can change the way someone sees the world, give a voice to those who have none, and bring beauty to everyday life.
