Change is inevitable but sometimes changes comes suddenly and without notice and hence, brings ‘THE SHIFT’. The artwork represents how chaos ensues when a sudden shift happens in presumed normalcy. The world can only persevere when we embrace the change. Just as a cuttle fish has the ability to camouflage and blend with its ever changing environment, we need adapt and shift our perspectives. Small changes are sometimes overlooked as they disguise themselves as being normal. The shift happens only when we come to the realization that these changes add up. We, as humans had to adapt and completely change the “normal” in the last 2 years. This artwork is a depiction of the survival instinct that we all carry within us just like the cuttle fish is constantly changing to fit-in with its environment.
