Alicia is a 29-year-old artist from Philadelphia who began painting as a hobby before turning it into her career. Her art style can be categorized as abstract, mixed media, and urban. Alicia focuses on contrasting ideas, colors, and textures in her paintings to compliment her unique and bold personality. She enjoys creating pieces that eliminate boundaries and capture her “outside the box” visions. Growing up, Alicia’s eccentric personality made it difficult for her to meet society’s expectations. Now, she uses her art to proudly display her neurodivergence and ability to capture beauty by combining intentional and unintentional imperfections. Alicia’s painting techniques are unconventional, and she commonly creates her art with everyday household items, rather than with paint brushes. “My dream is to inspire others to embrace the own imperfections, and my art serves to show that together a chaotic mind and compassionate heart can make something perfectly imperfect.”
