Monika uses art as a biological need to paint. Through her art she puts what is deepest in her soul out. She has a real obsession with color, which she believes is like music to dance to.
Her relationship with paints, pastels, colored pencils, gouache comes when she was a girl living in Brasilia, Brazil, a city rich in architecture and vibrant colors.She spent her days between brushes and the cello. Mixing colors and music. Always involved with figurative art, it was only in 2020 that she became enchanted by abstract art, which she has been dedicating herself to it the last two years. She took the course “Composition: How to read two-dimensional works” at Parque Lage School of Visual Arts, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with Plastic Artist Gianguido Bonfanti. She is currently experiencing a new journey of exhibitions of her work. She hopes her art will enter the hearts of those who see her, just as it enter her heart: like music and poetry.
