Elizabeth Tokarska-W. Doctor of biological sciences by education, specialist in human anatomy, long-time academic lecturer in this subject. She lives in the capital of Poland, Warsaw. Painting and art are her great long-standing passion supported by postgraduate studies completed in Warsaw in the field of “Painting and History of Art” (2024 - participation in the graduates' exhibition). She specializes in oil painting, mainly figurative, also portrait - where the world of human anatomy meets art. The beauty of the female face and body is the subject of her greatest admiration. She loves colors, expression in her work, but sometimes she also reaches for monochrome. As a biologist, she is also fascinated by the surrounding nature, she willingly transfers natural motifs to canvas. Flowers, portraits of animals, these are topics she often takes up. Through art, she expresses herself, the whole richness of her soul - delicate, sensitive, colorful, poetic and emotional. She very often enlivens her paintings with poetry, which complements the emotions expressed. For 5 years, almost her entire life has been devoted to painting - developing and perfecting her skills every day. She loves experimenting with color, sometimes even mixing colors on canvas, in addition to a brush, she likes to use a spatula. But she also has a great fondness for the glazing technique. She likes to experiment and take on new challenges.
