Ciara Laheney (Peru, b.1992) is a self-taught painter that is currently based out of Tampa, Florida. She discovered her passion for art in 2017. Her art focuses on converting emotions and thoughts into energy, and energy into abstract art. Her art is comprised of acrylic paints and mixed media, and these elements are used to transform her feelings, thoughts, and memories into vibrant colors, shapes, and patterns that jump off the canvas or paper.

In her personal life, she is studying international business and enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, who also serve as support and inspiration for her artistic expression.

She painted this beautiful piece in Weston, FL in 2020. This painting represents the freedom of every person expressing the variety of thoughts, ideas, and feelings based on different cultures and experi-ences from around the world. That is why this painting is called "Freedom of Expression".
