Madhuri Lingidi “Dreams & Paintings are twins!” – Madhuri My name is Madhuri Lingidi, a native of India, and currently a resident of Cary, North Carolina, USA. For me, a dream turning into reality is not a magic; but it travels a long journey through interests and aspirations! And for an artist, the dreams take a shape with the use of colors – more the colors, brighter the dream is. Am a self-taught painter and I believe “canvas is the best medium to express my dreams to the outside world”! Inspired from my mother’s rangoli, I started dealing with colors from a young age, and had won various prizes and accolades at various stages. From color portraits to murals, from sand art to Tanjore paintings, I had done works across various forms. To date, I completed nearly 150 paintings across six forms like Thanjore, Madhubani, Murals, Warli, Texture Painting and Oil Paintings.
