My name is Catharina Engberg and I am an autodidact artist living in the south of Sweden. I was born in Malmö 1963. I create in watercolour. I find my inspiration to my paintings in nature as I am a true nature lover. I spend the warmer seasons in the kayak and sleeping outside hanging in my hammock as often as possible. There I feel the beauty and the greatness of the nature. It is mind-fullness for me. Through my paintings I want to give the viewer a sense of what I am feeling in the nature. Nature is for me paradise. My paintings Morning Glow and Misty morning shows our nature at its most beautiful time of day. These paintings are very different from each other but both shows the colours that can appear, in my eyes, early in the morning at different places in my beautiful home country Sweden. Morning glow: Early in the morning when the sky is on fire and the mist is still hanging over the dewy grass. Misty morning: An early morning when the mist is hanging over the mirror calm water, the col-ours are soft and warm and the nature is slowly waking up to the sound of birds living by the lake. Day dreaming: Hanging in my hammock, looking up at the trees, day dreaming and enjoying the moment.
