Seve was born in Lausanne (Switzerland) in the 70s, coming to life with a twin sister, whose role has been predominant in her biography. Being one of a pair has given her quite an input to re-flect upon converging-differentiating processes of embodying individuality within time and space. Seve grew up in a rather preserved village by the lake, feeling very early a strong connec-tion to her ecological environment, especially water: the sound, the move, the sensation of it on the skin. Their father, an engineer in the electronic computing field; mixed his career with a deep passion in music, which he transmitted to his two daughters. From her mother, Seve inherited a feminist and rather rebellious state of mind, inspired by New Age and Hippies trends, and a creative insight connected to nature, childish spontaneity, basic substances, and impulses. Melt-ing both parents’ influence, Seve obtained a job as professor and scientific searcher, while deepening her artistic identity: after a Master in Arts, she wrote a PhD thesis about body expe-rience, while achieving a preprofessional degree in piano and consecrating much energy in drawing and painting. In 2021, she decided to dedicate herself to artistic expression, taking some distance with the academic and scholarly background. Close to Body Art, the approach she has developed since then intends to conceptualize new abstract organic visions of humanity and of its environment. She focuses on (e)-motions and color-patterns moves which translate fundamental ways of being as human and as life in general.
