Description

This piece consists of a large sheet of paper that JR CHUO has cut by hand using a paper cutting knife. The organic nature of the design takes inspiration from patterns found in corals and the colours are inspired by the vibrant colours emitted by certain corals before they are bleached due to warming ocean temperatures as a result of climate change. The hand-cut paper artwork is suspended in transparent acrylic sheets in order to give the impression of flotation and enable the artwork to respond uniquely to different backgrounds.
