Miroslava Biography Raisa Marita Miroslava Gonzales Cooper known as Miroslava was born in 1993 in Chiclayo, Peru. Since she was a child, she participated in numerous art exhibitions in her city. She studied architecture and received a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Universidad Católica Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo in 2018. During this time she became interested in visual graphics and mapping but she continued to paint as well. She studied postgraduate courses in Design and Project Process at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru. Her work explores the different possibilities to express herself through abstract components and compositions of ground floor plan, and transform everything in different pieces of art that reflect her essence. Miroslava is currently based in Lima. Artistic Statement Since I was a child, I've always been looking for abstraction of things. When I didn't paint landscapes or people, I used to make abstract paintings that resembled cells and microorganisms, as I loved looking at them under my mom's microscope. Years later thanks to architecture, I added a new layer to my art and my way of creating: \"Every life is an encyclopedia, a library, a sample of styles where everything can be continuously mixed and rearranged in all possible ways. And in this way the architecture is handled in front of a series of components that mixed in different ways provide us with various projects intervention. '' - Italo Calvino All projects are made of components, by decontextualizing them and changing their meaning or architectural character, a piece of art can be obtained. My artwork is made of decontextualized architectural elements, microorganism abstractions and certain line techniques and intense colors, each composition is unique with different themes from feelings to architectural concepts with my own personal style and essence.
