Bio
Marcela Rodríguez César, originally from Saltillo Coahuila since 1996, is a Mexican artist and designer. She began her concern for art and painting at the age of 5 when she started taking oil painting classes. As time went by, she got involved in different techniques such as pencil draw-ing, charcoal, acrylic, pastels and watercolour. She studied Industrial Design at Tecnológico de Monterrey, which allowed her to expand her creative skills. She had the opportunity to study for a year in Florence, Italy where she learned the ancient technique of fresco and restoration at the Istituto Lorenzo de Medici and at the AD’A art academy, where she perfected her watercolor technique and learned anatomical drawing of the human body. She obtained a certificate from the “Escuela de técnicas de pintura Vincent Van Gogh”, in the artisan elaboration of pastels. Her works consist of figurative representation inclined more towards the human face with the pastel and oil technique. She currently has an art studio in Saltillo and a business called Wine and Canvas where she offers the experience of a painting class combined with a wine tasting.
