Cicilie Svanem I am a self taught artist born and raised in Trondheim, Norway. I paint both abstract and figurative and I like to use strong colours in my paintings. My tools are brush and knife and I use both acrylic and oil in my paintings. Mostly I paint on canvas. I love to paint portraits with deep emotions and many of my paintings have a touch of femininity. My artistic development started when I went to High School in 1992 with drawing, shape and colour as my main subject. When I paint I find the ultimate mindfulness that reduces stress and I get to express myself on a spiritual level. I get inspired by nature, music, people that I meet and happenings in my daily life.
