My name is Alexandra. I live in Düsseldorf, Germany. I am a self-taught artist. I am also a travel agent, Germanist and media scientist with many years of experience in marketing and communication. I quit my full-time job in 2019 in favor of more self-determination and more meaning.
Reflecting on my own lifestyle now more than ever regularly raises questions for me: Who am I aligning myself with and why? Must my decision always make sense and be comprehensible to others? Must my decision be a decision for life? Or, in view of the diversity of possible forms of life, is a decision made today a mistake tomorrow? I regularly question my life and adjust it if necessary. My art visualizes this process on a rational and on an emotional level - sometimes romantic, sometimes abstract, sometimes curious. In doing so, I mix analog art (photography) and use the digital possibilities to emotionally expand real photography and remove it from its rigid reality.
