Born in Germany and based in London, abstract artist KIRA BEHNERT initially pursued an international business career before re-kindling her love for the art practice in 2015. Since, she has continuously evolved her techniques by taking varying classes from re-nowned Art schools in the capital. Scouted by an agent in Miami in 2017, she initially ex-hibited and sold her works abroad. In summer 2019, she received her Art Diploma from the Putney Art & Design School, London, and started exhibiting successfully also in Eu-rope. During the 2020/21 lockdown, her works have been seen in several online shows and recently shortlisted again for physical gallery representation at the Kings House Gal-lery, Stratford-upon-Avon. Currently she is also studying for an Executive Masters in Cul-tural Arts at the Royal Academy of Arts, London.


In addition to abstract large paintings and textured works on boards, Kira has an impres-sive portfolio of vibrant monotype prints as shown. Using her technical skill as a painter in her prints combined with her positive outlook on life, she marks and layers acrylic paints directly onto the print screen to create luminous, refreshingly naive pieces. As she loves the Sea, many works are loosely inspired by seascapes around the world. Each piece invites your mind to wander; encouraging spontaneity and optimism to experience a ‘life in colour’.

Her prints are sold as limited artist edition on luxurious Hahnemühle paper.
