Bio

I am Russo Salvatore in art ART DE CHE’ born in Catania class of '85.
In life I carry out a completely different job, I am a freelancer and I have never attended various academies or art institutes, I have always been self-taught; but the fact remains that I have always had a particular relationship with art and drawing. Already as a kid, about ten years old, I liked to reproduce in pencil some neoclassical works that I saw depicted in those dusty tomes at my parents' house. I was thunderstruck.
I stopped and resumed drawing over time, until I found my second on my Art Nouveau and Art Deco journey from which I had the ambition to take my stage name and my second love.
Recently around 2020 I learned the use of digital graphics programs in particular illustrator thanks to which I like to bring back previously made drawings and new works in particular influenced a lot by pop art, my third love.
I am inspired by everything around me but in particular by the facial expressions and the impact that these arouse in me and which I want to bring back into my style, especially the feminine ones.
Some tell me why I only draw women and not men, my answer is always the same: men are easy to make a few lines, a few strokes, a shade and that's it, but drawing a woman is different, it's always a challenge with themselves, a thousand times to erase a thousand times to try and try again to find the right expression because they are true, beautiful, provocative, mean and indulgent because the woman is an ocean of deep and beautiful feelings that are never easy to understand, let alone to draw.
