Bio

My purpose for my art, is to rekindle joy and new hope in times of adversity.
To inspire pure fervor; one that knows no bounds.
My art emanates life. It depicts the beauty that lies in contrast and diversity of ideas, and emotion. As an artist, I carry a soul that is on a spiritual and emotional quest to seek the most honest of sentiments.
My journey as an artist has been one of exploration and intrigue. From Tech background to the art landscape, it is a story of the pursuit of your innate calling.
Born in Pakistan, to a Broadcaster/Journalist father and geography teacher mother, and raised in the Middle East, I got a chance to travel across the globe. From those ardent travels, I bring with me the influences that have inspired me along the way.
I now reside in sunny San Francisco Bay Area. The place itself is thriving with art and diverse culture. The calming Pacific coastline and the shear energy of the city are enough to invigorate the artist within.
I tend to draw inspiration from everything around me, from simple things to nature to world events. My work involves mixed media abstract art, predominantly alcohol ink and acrylic ink on Yupo paper and canvas. I do like to experiment with different textures and metallics.
The colors I choose to work with, can be calm and muted, as well as vibrant and loud, depending on what I’m feeling at that moment.
My process of creating art is completely organic, so no two art pieces are the same. I usually have an idea of the feel that needs to be captured, but then I surrender to how the colors want to speak. As a result, the art that emerges is delightfully refreshing. Often, there are art pieces that come together cohesively, despite being completely different.
I’ve had the pleasure of having my work represented and sold in collective and individual exhibitions, galleries, and art fairs. I honor and cherish the relationships I’ve built with clients and the creative community over the years. That, and the gift of art, are the biggest reward.
