My work explores the relationship between Critical theory and midlife subcultures. With influences as diverse as Courbet, Vasarely, Munch and Kandinsky, new variations are manufactured from both explicit and implicit structures.
Ever since I was a teenager I have been fascinated by the unrelenting divergence of the human condition. What starts out as hope soon becomes debased into a tragedy of greed and lust, leaving only a sense of chaos and the prospect of a new beginning.
As spatial derivatives become distorted through frantic and academic practice, the viewer is left with a clue to the outposts of our condition.
