I started by making the red piece first. After it was finished, I had a vision from heaven that I wanted to make a piece that contrasted with the red. I also had an image of the color being a flack purple. Then, I felt a stronger desire to create a work by arranging the pieces in contrast to each other rather than just placing them individually, and the title I came up with was “Burn & Shadow”. The red, like a flame, burns up, and the black purple, which symbolizes darkness, creates its shadow. The moment when these two different energies coexist in one space. Light and shadow. And I felt the infinite possibilities that spread out between them.
