Ryo Iwayama is a digital collage artist and a Chef from Kyoto, Japan. He worked in Milan, Italy and now is working at restaurant in Oslo. He started to create digital collage art in 2022 from some pictures of his journey. His art works is influenced by Surrealism, Dadaism and Minimalism, and unified color for each work is impressive. These art works contain conflicting elements, directing a chaotic worldview of beauty and ugliness, a mixture of reality and unreality.

ARTISTIC STATEMENT
My occupation is a Chef, and I started art creation since 2022. The most important thing for me is to express my self as a human being. So It doesn’t matter for me about the occupation. The root of my creation is “Destruction and Reconstruction”It’s like art works are made from photos and cuisine is also made from food ingredients. Among them, the process of destruction is an important process that extends the original material's view and interpretation. New things will be created based on them.
