I just love watercolour painting and sharing the joy! I am enjoying the learning and the total focus required to paint. It’s like a meditation, forcing focus and sheer delight when the process works! It is a pleasure to share the results.
I have rediscovered watercolour painting after many decades of life getting in the way, and am largely self-taught over the last couple of years.
Having enjoyed overseas and domestic travel, one of my favourite subjects is to use my own reference photos to paint from and really infuse my artwork with the emotion and beauty I have discovered. I am particularly interested in peaceful, tranquil scenes where stillness conveys calm or a fresh movement of water may uplift the spirit.
If my painting draws you and holds your attention for a while. If it inspires you to create or attach your own stories to the art, then my work is done. We have connected on another level and I see that as very special and hopefully, to instil a sense of peace and contentment along the way.
