Alexandra Hediger is a swiss artist whose work is surreal and full of sentimental intensity. We can find a multitude of underlying messages in her work. She uses the human form as the main theme.
“As an artist, i process my own story through paintings, often in self - portraits and life maps in which I reflect my feelings and my life in colors and shapes. This helps me to accept life as it is and find happiness and fulfillment in it. I find inspiration for this in my daily life: in the history of my lung disease; the blood that beats through my veins; in the struggle for life and death; be-tween love and hate; courage and fear; luck and bad luck; Life itself with its thousands of colors and facets.
With my images I want to encourage people to see the world as a whole and us humans as individuals who combine different aspects into a whole. The goal is to try to see the good in it, accept it, and move on.”
