Bio

Cléa Lugardon, nicknamed KLA, born September 1, 1994 in Normandy, has recently blossomed under the Lille sun. Since her childhood, she paints, creates, assembles. Her first works are done in watercolor where she represents seascapes, forests and mountains. At the age of twenty, she left the poetic and soft colors of this technique to move towards much more vivid acrylic. Its practice and its subjects evolve. She sets aside landscapes to reveal works from a very colorful universe with two main themes, that of Women with portraits and nudes, and that of Animals. Over the years, its path is emerging. She experiments with techniques and tools, tries out oil painting, modeling paste, gold leaf and the combination of materials (wood and leaves). 3D is taking an increasingly important place. Kla took up sculpture, notably producing a series "Oil" depicting bears covered in thick black satin paint, alluding to environmental problems. His interest in ecology is also distinguished in his works by the choice of painted animals and titles. Photography enriches her canvases where Kla develops her shots which then serve as a basis for painting over them. Urbex is the recurring theme on his film, illustrating his sensitivity to vegetation that takes over when humans fade away. Her medical studies ended in 2019. From then on, Kla became more involved in her art and in her visibility by participating in several exhibitions, festivals and art fairs in Paris and Normandy. In Lille, she also exhibits in various restaurants and bars. One of the exhibitions in Normandy, at the Fabrique Massillon, allows her to show her interest in the cause of women by participating in the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. In 2016, she composed the cover of the Book "Une vie en Ballon" by Aude and Benoit Blanchard, and in 2019, produced the cover of the musical album Alseed. Kla stands out with her particularly colorful style where contrast is the key word.
