Bio

I have been creative all of my life and if I were not drawing or making something, I was taking photos or singing or writing. In 2009 I published my first book (Poetic Pathways) made up of poetry, short stories, lyrics, and photography, and it is now available on amazon.com, and Kindle. Being mostly self-taught, I have participated in a few art, writing, and photography classes over the years. I was born in Olathe, Kansas and spent years 7 through 18 in Erie, Kansas. Traveled and explored much of the United States as well as other countries such as Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas. I have always been excited to visit new places, hiking in nature, and capturing all the beauty that surrounds me. Nature always has a way of reminding us of what is most important in life. Being able to reflect on those moments through my art, writing, and photog-aphy is a constant reminder of all the abundance and Beauty our planet has to offer. For 16 years I was in the healing arts in California where I trained and practiced Acupressure Massage, Reiki, and Color Healing, at which I retired in 2006. Over the past 30+ years meditation has been a part of my life. In 2016 I met my husband who was living in Sedona Arizona where we re-sided for a few years before recently moving to Oklahoma to be closer to family. Now, for the first time in my life, I have the freedom of time to continue my passion in painting and drawing on a full-time basis. Most of my work in the past has been with charcoals, colored pencils, and pastel chalks, with a few inks. Expanding my love for art and now working with acrylics has been a real joy in my life. I now want to share my work with others through Artspan.com and other platforms where I can display my artwork and my photography. As with many artists, I too am feeling the call to do my part in bringing more positive light into the world right now. Thank you for your interest in my work. May kindness find you wherever you are on your path and bring with it lots of Love to celebrate the joys of life.
