Nour grew up between Beirut and Montreal. From a very age, she was greatly inspired by the works of Monet, Kandinskij, Van Gogh, and other artists. She constantly reproduced pairings that caught her eyes until she became this self-taught painter who since her childhood was considered gifted by talent. She possessed a remarkable understanding of light, color, and movement and was instinctively able to decide which medium to use and how.
“I see arts as an invitation to connect with that which is bigger than ourselves and a way to dive into imagination: what lies beyond our sight. My most often go-to medium is oil paint for the luminosity, vibrance and lively end-results it gives to my artworks. I use various materials and processes: contrasts, textures, and bold colors to make my paintings pop. I spend days and weeks on a canvas and never stop before I reach the perfection I aim for. I let my emotions guide me through the painting and this is where I find myself creating”.
