Bio:
Florian Fiernow has been creating art in various areas and stages for half of his life. Photography has always accompanied him on all paths and experiences, constantly looking for the perfect an-gle and the perfect motif. Nevertheless, this has deliberately remained a semi-professional hob-by. Instead, music occupies a large part in his past life. Since the age of 16 he has been involved in various music productions, including mainly in the field of hip hop and, on a professional level, in the field of electronic music. In the period from 2011 to 2019, several vinyl releases were re-leased, both as a solo artist and as a producer duo, which were played internationally in many clubs. Painting is the third art form in his life which has received his full attention for several months and which enables him to express himself in a completely different way.

Artist Statement:
"I really believe that after all these years as a music producer in painting I have a new calling that has completely cast a spell over me." Before I start painting a picture, I rarely have a plan of what I want to do. Just like in music, I let myself be completely guided by my mood, contrasts and my feelings. As a kid I've never been able to paint with brushes, which is why I probably did-n't create my first painting until I was over 30 and not much earlier. I never realized before that it could be done in a completely different way. I only work with spatulas, trowels and similar tools. Most of my work consists of several layers of acrylic paint and is applied with fairly large hand tools. Sometimes I also use filigree spatulas for smaller jobs. Brushes have been used only to apply the first layer of the background
