About fifteen years ago, I began to express myself using colour. Although I did not enjoy abstract art at the time, I found it to be a liberating channel to express my emotions. I use copious amounts of gesso, setting layer upon layer until I feel that a piece is done. It's like peeling an onion, but in reverse.
