Behrouz EZ Born in Iran and moved to Europe during the war in 1985. I had my first camera when I was 7 (maybe because I wouldn ’ t stop playing with my father ’ s one!) and since then I ’ ve been developing my curiosity about the art of photography as a Self-taught. However, I progressively started shooting less and less after the advent of digital camera, until I bought an old Leica (1936) three years ago at a Londoner street market. The first roll of film was a rebirth. Since then, rediscovering my passion in its authentic way, I never leave home without one of my cameras. Living and working both in Paris and London, I have gotten used to have a break during my everyday corporate life and turn my lunchtime into street photography session. Since my very personal pleasure is the photography itself and not only the pictures taken, I ’ m not keen of shooting tons but rather seeking that one which will make me feel most rewarded. Hence, I turn my camera on full manual (though most of my cameras have no automatic device), I try to anticipate and I stay patient before triggering each image. I try to shoot it authentic, aesthetic and poetic with leaving enough space for the imagination to complete the story to be told.
