Bio
Narika node's paintings are "extracts of the subconscious" or “visitors from the invisible world". She was born on a small island in the west of Japan and grew up influenced by the rich-ness of nature. She has experienced first-hand the existence of a mysterious world that trans-cends human knowledge, and finds herself at the node of the invisible and visible worlds. Freud, the famous psychologist, once argued that the subconscious controls the conscious. If the invis-ible world of the subconscious is projected onto the real-world screen of the conscious, then for her, painting is reality creation itself. She believes that to create a better reality, it is important to go
deeper into one's inner self and find harmony. And she tries to express this faithfully on paper, with childlike innocence and sincerity. She is currently studying psychology at university and con-tinuing her journey to create a better reality. Narika has loved drawing since childhood and started learning oil painting under a professional artist when she was studying Japanese litera-ture at university. She took a break for a while but recently restarted her career. She used to pre-fer abstract expression, but her method of expression has changed from expressing mental landscapes with a balance of colours and lines to connecting with herself deeper in her subcon-scious and extracting images.
