Svetlana Miskova
Painter
Bio
Svetlana Miskova is a Bournemouth, Dorset, based painter, costume designer and part-time caregiver for young people in needs. She was born on June 24th, 1986 in Lithuania and grew up in a small town called Panevezys, where from a young age she had a passion for drawing. In 2005 Svetlana received her diploma from the Panevezio Art School as a specialist in pencil drawing technique. After graduation, she continued her education at Vilnius Art College as a costume designer and she was graduated in 2009. After her studies, Svetlana moved to England. Now she lives in a small town called Bournemouth due to the beach as it is a “perfect place to be”. Svetlana continued to create but suddenly she had to stop for health reasons. In 2019 the artist returned to her drawings and began creating abstract paintings. Today is a new start for Svetlana and she hopes that her art will inspire younger generations and bring positive energy to all the spectators.
Svetlana finds her inspiration everywhere around her, she considers that “it is a universe”. Her goal is not to concentrate on one genre and create what comes first in her mind. She loves to work with pencils, watercolour, acrylic and oil paint (which is next for her to try) in addition to all the different techniques she can find to create art. Therefore, in this exhibition Svetlana will introduce her abstract paintings. By using acrylic painting, she creates that peace and she wants to show the spectators how beautiful the colours can be and how many different shades can be found in just one colour. She hopes that her painting will impact and generate different feelings in the spectators and that everyone can enjoy it together.
