Sandhya is a Gen X who lives and works in Maximum City-Mumbai. She studied and majored in Physics followed by Masters in Business Administration specializing in Human Resources and also hold scores of post graduate Certifications in Psychology including Organizational Psychology, Myers and Briggs Type Indicator, Hogan Performance Values Indicator, Predictive Index, Special Interest Indicator, FIROB, DISC and several more. While entrenched into corporate world at Bank of America she rediscovered her passion for Art in 2008 commencing with landscape painting encouraged by her spouse to dabble into creative exuberance. Sandhya’s body of work represents a microcosm of collective memory, visually encapsulating a broad range of cultural, philosophical allusions and psychology from various facets of her life growing up in the maximum city and her travel across the globe for work and pleasure. Her work also reflects her full time profession in the corporate corridor’s as seasoned human resources professional leading culture , talent organization design. Sandhya firmly believes “A failed painting is better than one that's just plain bad. The failed painting is one that could have been great.— Larry Poons. Hence, her painting styles have seen landscape, abstract, figurative, and still experiments in various styles that overlap. The medium she prefers continues to be Oil and believes in bigger canvases just as the belief Life has to be big and wholesome and a visual celebration of colors. Sandhya has had her work showcased at a few Exhibitions in the past including Art for Concern in 2018 and several online exhibitions while being associated with Art Grooves (2020-2022) Her art works are narratives and each of them narrate a story. Her Artwork are captivating with myriad visuals, hues and cacophony of emotions with her deep experience and expertise in psychology.
