The “Reclaimed Land” Project:
"This theme, which I started working on last year, is based on the original landscape of the land where I was born and raised. It is a Japanese countryside where people and nature have been involved for 1000years. One of the few landscapes that escaped development by accident remains. I have been able to live in this miraculous world since childhood. Among them, the shaping of the earth created by artificial cultivation and a long battle with nature has become my own blood and flesh. Eventually it became the rhythm of my expression. It is as if oneself has become a god and a creator of the shaping of the world. That is the meaning of reclaimed land, the current theme"
