Tressina is an Australian self-taught artist and florist currently living in the beautiful deserts of Saudi Arabia. Working in both acrylics and handmade inks and dyes, her artworks feature her signature mix of bright colours and textures combined with organic elements. Traces of her Papua New Guinea islander heritage are a common feature of her work which adds a sense of ancient cultures in distant lands. Her time spent in the Middle East also adds another exotic element to her work with her appreciation of Islamic decoration and the beauty of desert life. With such a melting pot of different cultural experiences she enjoys combining different aspects of them into her work that results in beautifully unique, whimsical pieces.
