I couldn’t believe that it had taken me this long to discover art, but once I did, I never looked back. I soon realized art isn’t just a beautiful piece to look at, it’s a portal to freedom — freedom of expression, freedom to be who you truly are. It’s something that no one can ever take from you (or me). But it does take courage to let go and develop a style that is all your own in the process, no matter if that style is displayed through clothing, music or art. It’s exactly that courage that has ignited my futuristic style, which symbolizes something to always look forward to. It’s also led me to branch out, at one point working with a gallery that further introduced me to this new, captivating world. It was there that I discovered the legendary artists I’ve since created books and catalogs after, including Juan Gris, Wifredo Lam and Pablo Picasso. Whether I’m painting or drawing, it all comes down to one thing: I want to be the living proof for younger generations that you can truly become and achieve anything you want in this life. How do I know that’s possible? Because I’ve done just that. And all I needed was a brush, my good music and some beautiful colors.
