Bio

Miyuki dreamed of being a fashion designer. Every day after school, she would do a fashion show by herself and made doll clothes with cloth and tissues. She was also interested in natural disasters because she grew up in an area known to expect a big earthquake. She learned about the environment and disaster prevention. Knowledge in this area and understanding the necessity of connections within the community to ensure safety and security, influenced her artworks. About 6 years ago, when she was looking for a unique gift for her friend, she came across a preserved flower arrangement and learned about flower design. After opening a preserved flower class, she began to exhibit at art events. Eventually, she began her career as an artist in hopes to “create a world that cannot be expressed with flowers alone”. As a mixed media artist, she expresses the “balance” of a space. Bold use of color and delicate drawings, along with beautiful flowers – the combination of 2D and 3D in her works is in an exquisite balance.
