Technique: Watercolors, pen, and collage on paper. The piece was created in two parts – the first layer was created during winter with the grey bareness of trees upfront & visible and the second layer was created in the spring as leaves started to sprout, adding to the beauty of these trees.

During one of her nature walks, the artist found herself getting distracted by this one tree in particular which had leaves shaped like tiny flowers. This piece is playing on the idea of bringing something to the focus by the addition of a collage piece in the center.
