FIR was born in 1981 in Paris. From an early age, he explored his life through drawing and painting. Influenced by the artists Francis Bacon and Egon Schiele, he expresses the body in all its forms: sketches, black and white or colours, nudes... and often tells his sinuous path through the self-portrait.
FIR delivers his emotions through painting. He relates past or present traumatic moments, with the aim of freeing himself from them.
The emotions, sometimes represented by organic elements, are contained by the bodily limits materialized by vivid colours. In this way, he tries to differentiate between the inside and the outside, the visible and the perceptible. Fascinated by graphics, in particular those linked to the world of childhood (toys, video games...), FIR seeks a graphic represen-tation of his painting in connection with this universe. The idea is to contrast this childlike universe with its bright "pop-art" colours, devoid of shadowy areas at first glance, with a darker and more tortured universe, perceptible from the second reading.
