I was born in Ukraine and grew up near Carpathian Mountains. This is where I fell in love with nature. As I got older I was always interested in how nature was represented by others. During my time in medical school, I took a histology class. While learning about cells and looking at different photos underneath a microscope, I began to see a different world. This is what spiked my interest in abstract art and I began to understand Abstract Art of K. Malveich and W. Kandinsky on a deeper level. In 2004 I moved to Canada. As I was adapting to a new life, I spend more time alone and that increased my love and interest in art. In 2014 I started taking some classes at Toronto School of Art and recognized that my interests lie in Abstract Art and Landscape Painting with oil as my medium of choice. In my paintings I want to show nature in all its glorious colours.
