Born In Bogota, and living in Bucaramanga, I’m a visual artist with a Fine Arts university study, and a major part of my artistic life expressing myself through abstract painting. About my artwork I would say Color is the word that defines me and exerts a strong influence in my everyday life, or, in other words, is a key factor in many aspects, like my way of seeing life, the form I interact with everything around me, my preferences, opinions, and decisions, things I may approve or reject for me, and in my life as an artist, color is the main part of my creative process, and it can be noted in both of my two artwork periods. The first one was a time for geometric abstract art, which identified me strongly as an artist. It has been reflected since my high school studies, my career studies, my professional work, and its corresponding exhibitions. Color remained, but in recent years, my painting has taken a radical change, and now, I am painting without preconceived ideas, just connecting my soul with the universe creating an inspirational synergy, accompanied by music and the sounds of nature making an important part of my inspiration, it allows me to go harmonically on the new canvases of my “Sensorial Abstract Pictorial Series”. I usually prefer classical music, Gregorian Chants, Jazz, and Bossa nova, but human-made sounds not only accompany me; the music from nature, like whale chants, wind, and sea sounds among others, are also part of my creative process. The gathering of color and music at a meeting point allows me to represent with more expression and freedom in many canvas sizes, and when I Listen to the rhythms and harmonies from musical instruments, the voices, and nature my sensory perception is activated, where the emotions from my inside world made communion with the external world that surrounds me.
